Emergency First Aid at Work Courses from Stansted Environmental Services


Emergency First Aid at Work
A 1-day First Aid course ideal for businesses needing to qualify staff to the level of Appointed Persons to take responsibility for a first aid emergency and the first aid box in accordance with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations. This course is ideal for people who wish to give support to the companies First Aider.

During this course a range of subjects will be covered including:
  • Responsibilities and reporting
  • Assessment of the situation
  • Dealing with an unresponsive casualty
  • Basic hygiene in the First Aid
  • Resuscitation
  • Anatomy
  • Minor injuries
  • Bleeding control
  • Burns
  • Choking
  • Epilepsy
  • Shock
An assessment of the candidate will be made by the instructor throughout the day with a multiple choice question paper to be completed at the end of the day. Subject to successful assessment the candidate will be awarded with a 3 year Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work.

Other Courses include:

First Aid at Work (3 Day) FAA Level 3 NVQ Award

This course is for employees who work in environments with higher hazards and risks based on their needs assessment. Once completed you will receive a First Aid at Work (FAW) certificate which will be valid for three years.

Paediatric First Aid at Work (2 day) FAA Level 2 NVQ Award

This course has been developed for those who are working with children and infants. It will be of particular interest to teachers, child minders, crèche assistants, playgroup personnel and anyone else who has a responsibility for their welfare whilst in your care.

Bespoke Courses
