CITB SMSTS (5 day)

This Site Managers Safety Training Scheme is for project managers, site managers and supervisors, business owners and clients.

You will gain an understanding of health, safety, welfare and environmental issues on construction sites. The CITB SMSTS is the main qualification required to be able to carrry out managerial duties on construction sites and most large companies and main contractors require this qualification for their Managers and that of their subcontractors as a minimum. 



CITB SMSTS Refresher (2 day)


The 5 day SMSTS course must be renewed every 5 years with a 2 day refresher. The course must be renewed before the the expiry date or the CITB require the full 5 day course to be sat again. 


CITB SSSTS (2 day)

This Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme is for construction site supervisors. 

You will gain an understanding of health, safety, welfare and environmental issues on construction sites. The CITB SSSTS is the main qualification required to be able to carrry out supervisory duties on construction sites and most large companies and main contractors require this qualification for their Supervisors and that of their subcontractors as a minimum


CITB SSSTS Refresher (1 day)

The 2 day SSSTS course must be renewed every 5 years with a 1 day refresher. The course must be renewed before the the expiry date or the CITB require the full 2 day course to be sat again.

The course covers the fundamentals of working safely especially the importance of individual responsibilities when it comes to workplace accidents. This course is suitable for anyone in any working environment.

IOSH Managing Safely (4 day)

This IOSH Managing Safely course is designed specifically to train Managers from a wide range of backgrounds the basic principles of managing health and safety in the workplace. The course covers the fundamentals of managing safely especially the importance of individual responsibilities when it comes to ensuring staff under their control are working safely. This course is suitable for anyone who has a management responsibility in any working environment.

Slinger/Signaller (2 day)

The job of a slinger signaller is one of the most important jobs on a building site. It requires skill, diligence, and concentration, working alongside the lifting teams to provide safe direction and supervision to the crane operators. Their main responsibility is to ensure the safety of the crane operators, and any other workers or site visitors that could be at risk from lifting operations on site.


Scaffold Inspection (1 day)

The Work at Height Regulations 2005 requires the inspection of certain work equipment and places of work at height (r12 and 13 and Schedule 7). It also requires that every employer shall ensure that no person engages in any activity, including organisation, planning and supervision, in relation to working at height, or work equipment for use in such work unless they are competent to do so, or, if being trained, is supervised by a competent person.

This one day Basic Scaffolding Inspection and Appreciation Course will give delegates a broad based training in the basic skills, techniques and record keeping of scaffolding inspections.


Manual Handling (Half day)

The manual handling course is aimed at all levels of employees who may undertake manual handling operations, including the transporting of a load of items by lifting, putting down, pushing, pulling, carrying or moving thereof by hand or by bodily force.



Face Fit Testing

A major cause of leaks within respiratory equipment and therefore exposure to a hazard is poorly fitting facepieces. As people come in all sorts of shapes and sizes it is unlikely that one particular type or size of RPE facepiece will fit everyone. Fit testing will ensure that the equipment selected is suitable for the wearer.


Asbestos Awareness (Half Day)

Information, instruction and training for asbestos awareness is intended to give workers and supervisors the information they need to avoid work that may disturb asbestos during any normal work which could disturb the fabric of a building, or other item which might contain asbestos.




Emergency First Aid at Work (1 Day)

This course is ideal for those who work in lower hazard environments (e.g. offices, shops, libraries) or where your needs assessment identifies a requirement for a first aider trained in emergency first aid at work (EFAW). Certificate will be valid for three years.

First Aid at Work


First Aid at Work (3 Day)

This course is for employees who work in environments with higher hazards and risks based on their needs assessment. Once completed you will receive a First Aid at Work (FAW) certificate which will be valid for three years.

Paediatric First Aid (2 Day)

This course has been developed for those who are working with children and infants. It will be of particular interest to teachers, child minders, crèche assistants, playgroup personnel and anyone else who has a responsibility for their welfare whilst in your care. It is ideal for individuals who are responsible for children and infants, who wish to gain a nationally accredited Level 3 Award.
